Helping you assess your strategy and negotiate contracts and partnerships.

ASSESSING YOUR STRATEGY

Having a strategy is understanding the big picture, knowing where you want to go, understanding the options, understanding the processes that can lead to your goal.

The big picture is your market and your opportunities.  It is your competitors, your partners, the offers on the market.

Knowing where you want to go is simply chosing the future for you/for your company. What will it look like? Who will you be in the face of the world and in your face?

Understanding the options is chosing your path, the size of your effort and its duration.

Understanding the processes is assessing for each option the tactical moves that will build your strategy, planning your steps, planning obstacles and the way around, knowing who is of influence on the path to success.

Assessing your strategy is reviewing it from all the above points of view with the aim to identifying those aspects that need further work, the decisions that still need to be consiously made, control steps that can be brought in to contribute to the efficiency of the strategy. An outside eye with experience, a creative mind with sound ethics,  this is what 4C&B can offer you to support your team.

NEGOTIATING CONTRACTS AND PARTNERSHIPS

Business is all about contracts and partnerships. It is also about clients and suppliers.  It is about relationship between people, business entities and sometimes administration.

Contracts and Partnerships are difficult exercises:  we do not usually write a summary before we write the story. With contractual agreements it is exactly what you do: you did not yet have a real chance to get a feel of the relationship and still you must describe it in few words. Too many words would mean it won't easily be read by those who need to know the details of the contract and it also would mean even more difficult negotiations to agree on meaning and style.

As a result success of a negotiation ends up relying a lot on mutual trust between the parties.  Scary?

Or is it really scary?  After all a relationship will be build and this is what we all do every day, being the social men and women we are.

With the aim of a trusting relationship in the picture, the stage is set. The process can start.

There is indeed a need to follow very precise steps.

- know what you want

- know or guess what the other party wants

- know what you can give

- know or guess what the other party can give

- check if there is a middle point for an agreement

- make sure the agreement has a future or an end.

A systematic approach to contract negotiation is what 4C&B can help you follow.  We help you building a relationship that will not only sit on paper but that will also live the life both parties have actually wished for.
